Spot in MRI

Weird symptoms such as disorientation, tingling, surges of heat that my doctors do not seem to understand

Spot in MRI

Postby sistm on Tue Apr 22, 2008 10:50 am

Hello. I recently had an complete spine series MRI done due to an injury I recieved a few years. I have been experiencing numbness tingling in my arms and legs along with cognitive issues. They originally associated the numbness and tinngling with me injuring my back. In the recent MRI, I noticed a spot in the back of my head. I have posted the image to try to get some opinions on whether or not I should have a neurologist take a look. The Dr. that originally looked at the MRI was a spine surgeon and couldn't comment on the spot. Any ffedback would be appreciated.

Thanks for your question with the image.

Please tell me whether an official report was written....it should have been and if so you should get a copy of it...please let me know what was written once you get this.

In any case...it seems reasonable to get an MRI of the brain as this spot is not seen very well on the images you sent which were directed towards the spine...is there a plan to get such an MRI.

If you have not yet been examined by a neurologist then this should certainly be the first step.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
