paralysis sci t-9/10

my neurologist isnt sure why i am not able to walk.. i had a gunshot injury that hit and chipped my vertebrae at t9/10 it didnt hit my spinal cord; however, mri showed some scar tissue at t-7 and this happen in april of 08 almost a yr now.. so my mri shows no bruised, crushed, severed, or severe damge to spinal cord, so can you shed some light to what maybe causing my paralysis or will i possible have any return back?
