Whats wrong with me?

New postby cala on Mon Jan 10, 2011 10:39 pm

This all started 2 months ago, severe abdominal pain (10/10) and no dr could figure out why. Finally, they decided i must have appendicitis, so i had my appendix removed and a diagnostic surgery. Oddly enough, my appendix came back as 100% healthy, but they figured it had to be that cause my pain was isolated to one area. Pain didn't stop, was sent home post surgery with the same pain i went in with. Since then, my abdominal pain has subsided (3/10) but still there. (They did find a slightly enlarged ovary but surgeon commented in her report that it was not the cause of my pain, and not overly enlarged)

Then a whole new array of symptoms started. My right leg was going numb and my foot, felt like pins and needles and electric shocks going from my thigh to down my leg. I would be walking, and my leg would just go limp, and it was as if i was dragging it around with me.
Then i started getting electric shock feelings in my wrist, spreading up my arm. Im no longer walking normally, almost look like im drunk when i walk. Very unsteady on my feet. I have pain in my spine, my legs ache all the time, and when i go to bed my legs jerk. It feels like i have tics, my eye lids twitch all the time for no apparent reason, and have muscle spasms. Latest thing is i can hear my heart beating in my right ear all the time, if i cant hear my heart beat its ringing. My jaw is tender, hurts to chew. Im having a hard time remembering things, like what i did yesterday. As well, sometimes my vision is cloudy, or its like i have double vision.

I feel like im either dying, falling apart, or just going crazy. Just cant figure out which one.
I had a MRI of my brain done a few days ago, the only thing it said was no bright T2 lesion suggestive of demyelination. No Contrast was used in the MRI though.
Looking at the images, i can see white spots on the images, but it did not say in the report what they were.

If someone can tell me what is wrong, what tests i should ask to be ordered ill personally make a huge donation to this website. I cant put a price on my health. I do know that my WBC count is slightly high - 14.1, and has been there for about 2 months. I have taken high dose antibiotics to try and kill any infection i might have, but that didnt work.

Im currently taking 300mg gabapentin, .5mg x3 per day of clonazapam for anxiety ive developed since being sick, 10mg baclofen, 10mg torodal every 4 hours, and just recently 5mg percocet x2 every 4 hours for pain. Nothing seems to work. Percocets give me pain relief for about an hour, and thats it.

Before this, i have always been healthy, and was not taking any medication until my symptoms got unbearable.

Inputs would be greatly appreciated. I am a 24 year old female.

Have you had a full neurological examination? If so what was found?
Do you have any difficulty or change in your bladder control?
Although you may not have a neurological problem, if the issue is neurological it is more likely to be due to a problem in the spinal cord rather than the brain...the most important thing to do is get a full neuro exam with a neurologist to look for any abnormal signs.

let us know how it goes.
