So, for the past 6 months I've been dealing with head tremors. It seems to be brought on by stress and anxious situations. In the beginning I saw my general pracitioner and he started treating me for anxiety. The med he had me on (Wellbutrin) just made super twitchy and on edge so I didn't take it. He couldn't help the situation, he didn't know how to treat me so I decided to seek for a Neurologist. In the meantime, I started getting muscle twitchiness in my head and in my limbs. If I laid down on the floor to do yoga, I really noticed alot during the relaxation pose. I couldn't just lay there still. my right arm would twitch then my other arm, head then both my feet/legs. I also would get this tingling rush feeling down my arms before the tremors came on and muscle tightness I couldn't control. Mostly around my shoulders, neck and back. So when I saw the neurologist I told him everything that was going on and he started to rule out lyme disease, lupus and vitamin deficenies with bloodwork. Then he performed an EMG to see if I had a pinched nerve and that test didn't reveal any of the sort. Next test was to test for MS (being that I have tremor, muscle tightness, rush tingling sensation in arms and involuntary twitching). He told me you know I dont' really think you have this but just want to rule it out. So I went for my mri and when I was laying down i started twitching so bad. It was the worst I've experienced. The lady running the mri had came in and said she was noticing alot of movement and that I had to sit still. I told her I can't help it. she says that's probably why you are here. So a week goes by and I get a call from my neuro saying he wants to bring in the mri disc so he can take a closer look at my scans. The nurse said there was white spots (that could come with age) and possible Demylination on my scans. I dropped them off and a week goes by still awaiting the results of my MRI. Then I notice sudden happenings of dizziness. Like something is off and then it go away after a second and then come back suddenly. Today I got a phone call from his office of the results and the nurse said "These spots could happen with age and there is probably nothing to to be concerned with" I'm only 27. Is that normal? I've had no head trauma nor migraines. I guess the doctor found 12 spots, possible lesions and I'm now getting checked for risk of having a stroke, however that is connected. so I asked, "Is it not MS, I've been having all these symptoms"? The doctor said the lesions weren't in the area of brain to be concerned with MS. He didn't completely rule out MS and I have to have a spinal tap. My questions are:
1. Is this normal at age 27 to have these white spots? (healthy, not overweight, no head trauma or migraines in the past)
2. Can anxiety cause head tremors and if that's it, should I not see a neurolgist for this?
3. Does it sound like a case of early MS or what could it be?
The head tremors are so embarrassing. I always worry that someone will see them and they cause pressure up my neck to my head.
Thank you!
