A weird headache?

New postby headachey on Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:44 pm

Hi, just here to ask a question about a weird headache I've had for several days in a row now. My headache is a localized pain spanning from my left temple to the back of my head. It began on saturday night and has been bothering me since then. The pain is a sharp pain only in this spot which comes in strongly at some points and is more dull at other times. At times it ceases for as much as two to three hours, but I usually get stabbing pains four or five times an hour, followed by about ten minutes where it is hard to focus both physically (can't see straight?) and also mentally on anything. I've never had migraines or any kind of headache like this, and it does not seem to intensify with light or loud noise.
Some other notes:
-I started my freshman year of college the tuesday before the headaches started. I dont feel emotionally stressed at all, however.
-I am living in a dorm built in 1906, could mold be an issue?
-The headache did begin during a night of heavy partying, and I mistook it for a hangover at first but it hasn't gone away after four days, and I haven't partied since.
-I do have fairly intense seasonal allergies and am not taking anything regularly, however I have had no symptoms like this as a result of my allergies (usually they are more like sneezing, wheezing, itchy eyes)
-Known allergies include: mold, pollen, ragweed, pet dander, grass, apricots, caesin, whey, hay, latex
