tunnel vision and loud noise
First unread post • 3 posts • Page 1 of 1
tunnel vision and loud noiseI have an 11 year old daughter who has had some weird symptoms off and on. It started about a year ago with anxiety like symptoms. She says that occassionally she sees letters and numbers coming at her and that "certain ones are very loud" and they frighten her. This has happened in school, at home etc. and the events usually make her feel anxious. She hasn't had one of these episodes in several months, but she has now started reporting episodes (3 so far) in which her vision changes. She says that her vision starts to go black around the perimeter kind of like tunnel vision (lasting about 5 to 10 seconds). Although i have never experienced symptoms like these, my sister and I were both diagnosed with pituitary tumors (in our 20's and 30's). Since my daughter has started puberty, I am wondering if there is a correlation?

Re: tunnel vision and loud noiseNo headaches. No she has not yet been examined. I've asked her to keep a journal and log when it happens and describe the symptoms because she doesn't bring it up very often.
