tingling down outside of leg

New postby thesoo on Thu Jul 30, 2009 8:33 am

Hi,
I am a 38 year old female in good health. For the past month, on and off, I have had a vibrating/tingling sensation on the outside of my right knee. Last time it lasted about a week, then went away, then returned again. It can sometimes (but not always) be eased by lying down and relaxing. There is no pain, weakness or numbness.
I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and have terrible morning sickness, so could it be related to dietary deficiences - I am trying to keep potassium and calcium levels up? I also read somewhere that sciatica can affect pregnant women. I have spoken to my GP who has told me it is anxiety related (I am quite anxious at present about the pregnancy etc although all signs are ok). To be honest I am most anxious about the tingling! Worried it could be something bad.
I did have tinlging in my left hand and foot last year and was referred to a neurologist who did not recommend any treatment or tests, but said it was 'just one of those things' and that it would sort itself out, which it mostly has, I just get the odd tingle in my left hand now.
Any ideas?
