Tilt Table Test I tilted!

New postby FeatherMe on Fri Apr 03, 2009 8:28 pm

I had a brief tilt table test and found myself tilting to the left. The doctor tried to push me upright - couldn't. The breathing test I was asked to blow in a tube and get the mercury up to forty and keep it there for 15 sec. I only managed to get it to 25 but I lasted 15 sec. He didn't have me do it two more times as he said in the beginning. Why did I tilt? Not only did I tilt I went weak. How poor was the 25 compared to the 40? I have to wait until the end of the month for results. Waiting is difficult. Also had two skin punch biopsies done.

I have recently had shingles and have been suffering with fatigue over the slightest activity. All my doctor tells me is to rest. I can't do much more than one activity - taking a shower can be exhausting. One appointment every couple of days can be too much. I stopped taking some of my meds that I know make me tired during the day in an attempt to be able to do something. It hasn't helped. Is it possible to get another case of shingles right after the other?
We rejoice in our sufferings. Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us. God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Adapted Romans 5:3-4

Yes it is quite possible, but this would usually prompt the doctor to send off some blood tests to look at your immune system.
