Is this really a symptom of pinched nerve/ruptured disc??

It starts with the burning pain in middle of neck, then tingling sensations in both arms which is followed by severe cramping and tightness with uncontrollable shaking in both arms as well. My hands close shut but not a fist, like my fingers bend in an odd way. After I have these "episodes" I'm very sore and achy for days. It only happens though when I'm in a car. I have other symptoms that can be explained by my diagnosis of a very mild ruptured disc @ c5-6 with pinched nerve but the other symptoms make me wonder. It took months to be correctly diagnosed as I was told I shouldn't have all the extreme pain I was having. I'm waiting for my ct scan results after a recent discogram. These "episodes" did happen in the beginning when I had an injury and then stopped until I had the discogram. If the disc isn't that bad then why those horrible symptoms? Some of the times the cramping was extremely painful.
