struggling with Tourette's

I have Tourette's Syndrome, and there is a persistent motor tic in my right shoulder that is essentially a jerking motion of my entire arm. There appears to be an slight underlying problem in this, as whenever this happens my other limbs stop moving until my right arm stops jerking. When it first started it was only my left arm that stopped moving, so I'm actually wondering if it might just be a psychological factor of some kind. Can someone confirm any possibility of this and/or suggest any other possibilities?
