Spinal Fluid Movement

New postby amalieasam on Thu Jul 21, 2011 7:16 pm

I have read a number of posts regarding a debilitating feeling of dizziness, or off balance, or strange sensations. All this with every test known to man completed resulting in no answer. I also suffer from this sensation. It is unbearable and very debilitating. When I have an episode it usually lasts for 3 days and is constant. I have to stay completely still. If I move at all, even moving my eyes from side to side is unbearable. If I am laying in bed and roll from one side to the other I get the sensation of my body falling through the bed. Any movement at all is more than terrible. I have explained it as the sensation of a freight train rushing through my body, or going down a roller coaster with an extreme drop, fun at first but not so much after the first 5 seconds, or my best explanation, putting on someone's glasses that are 10 x's too strong for you.

So, with all that being said I have had every test imaginable. However, the other day I came across a person that had the same exact symptoms. The person said that they had a neck problem and learned that in addition to that the spinal fluid was being cut off and then at times rushing too fast into the cerebral area. They said that they had surgery and it has corrected the problem. I soooooo don't want surgery but needed to ask if this "problem" with spinal fluid pressure or movement is really a factor, how to detect it, and if it is something that can be repaired? Lastly, why after so many tests hasn't this come up? I know that isn't a very productive question but it makes me wonder. I know there are so many people being affected by this problem, and I also know the feeling of extreme and I mean extreme hopelessness I feel when I am going through this.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is a colorless fluid, that occupies the sub arachnoid space & the ventricular system around and inside the brain and spinal cord. You must visit a doctor soon
