Small fiber neuropathy

New postby FeatherMe on Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:13 pm

Can you tell me why my SFN acts up when I move my arms - like putting on a shirt, vacuuming, etc? It also kicks up when my cold crutches touch my arms, actually when anything cold touches them. It also happens without other apparent stimulation. Does SFN cause the lack of sensation in my hands? Thanks.
We rejoice in our sufferings. Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us. God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Adapted Romans 5:3-4

Any sort of stimulation of the skin can make the symptoms get worse...this is due to stimulation of the sensory nerves. Changing temperature can also do this.

In theory it can though it is impossible to say whether this is happening in your case without examining you.
