Thanks in advance for reading this. I hope you can shed some light on my issues. I specifically told you I'm an RN because as you well know I know enough to over analyze and too little to make a probable diagnosis.
Approx. 2 months ago I recall having a migraine. I have never had a HA like this and I am calling it a migraine because I had visual disturbances (black spots in visual fields). After taking one of my spouses migraine meds (Isometh/Apap Dichlor capsules) and resting for several hours all seemed fine again. Over the next few weeks I noticed having mild HA's that were cured with 600-800 mgs of Ibuprofen. At this point I started to notice very slight sensations in my hands and occasionally my left foot. Let me describe these sensations. They are not what I would consider a numbness or tingling but more of a consciousness of the limb. At times these sensations would feel light a very slight numbness on the lateral aspect of some of my digits and move from finger to finger. Most of the time I had no sensations at all and these feelings would just come and go. There was no particular time of day I would have them. The HA's ha stopped completly at this point. I must tell you by this point I had spent countless time trying to figure out what was going on with me. I had looked up MS, brain tumors, etc. Basically anything with a potentially bad prognosis was being considered. Argh!
I feel like at this point I have driven my body into a state of chaos. My bowel habits have changed ( trouble having regular BM's, HA's have returned and it's harder to get them to go away, tingling/numbness in both hands that comes and goes and occasionally is worse when lifting arms I we head and completly goes away when returning arms to my side). I know I should just go to my doctor but I'm always hesitant do to my natural tendancy to over analyze everything and also fear.
FYI- i'm 39 male, healthy overall, no family history of serious disease with the exceptioN of my mom who died 4 years ago due to complications from Liver transplant (Sjogrens syndrome). I am very grateful for any advice you can shed on this and if you need more clarification on my symptoms I'm happy to give more details.
Thanks!
