muscle twitching
First unread post • 2 posts • Page 1 of 1
muscle twitchingI am 50years old man and have for the past 2 years been suffering from muscles twitching all over my body. I also have muscle cramps which are mostly not very painfull. I have become extremly fatigued at the slightest amount of walking etc. I have seen a number of top nurologists in NZ and UK and they have done many EMG which have proved deteriotion everytime. I do have obvious muscle wastage in my right leg. I am really fustrated as everytime I see a neurologist all they do is try different brain medication but get nowhere. At the moment I am on 40mg Diazapam a day and have to take sleeping pills at night to get any sleep as the twitching keeps me awake at night. I have had my thyroid checked and it is fine as is my blood pressure and blood sugar. Any advise????
Re: muscle twitchingThanks for your question....have you had a full neurological examination?
If not then this should certainly be done. Please let us know what was or is found when this is done. Also, please post the exact wording of your EMG exam. All the best "...let the patient talk about their headache for at least 5 minutes without interruptions"
