mri report...after chronic light headedness/numbing

New postby kcj1963 on Fri Oct 22, 2010 2:08 pm

hello, my name is keith, and i would like to have my MRI(through charity) report interpreted here, and possibly my chronic condition, which i have been dealing with since june of 2004….i will be seeing my low income primary physician fairly soon, but fear he will be limited on his interpretation of my mri, and i am uninsured and must wait 3 to 4 months to see a neurologist..
since june of 2004 i have had lightheadedness(not spinning), balance issues, head pressure when concentrating, tingling/numbing on the left side of my body, especially on my left abdomen and in my left hand, and i am starting to feel weakness and twitching in my left leg, and a sinus infection, which my ENT's have not been able to clear up, in fact i have been under the impression from my ENT's for the last 6 years, until i had this latest MRI the 19th of Sept., that i had BPPV, or vestibular neuritis, good grief is right….my light headedness increases dramatically with movement, i also get light headed sometimes after eating…the first 5 years my symptoms were mostly just a nuisance, and i was able to work a seasonal job, but the last 2 years these symptoms have increased and i have not been able to work. my light headedness was so severe in july and august this summer, that i could not even drive.. my light headedness is at about a 2 out of 10 when i am not moving, but a 20 minute walk pushes it to about a 7-8 out of 10…i have had the first lyme disease test which was normal…9 months before my symptoms started i had a strange bite on my foot, it had little blisters that wouldn't heal properly, 5 years later i had the lyme test. i had worked at a salmon hatchery up in the mountains, so possibly a tick bite? i also worked with the chemical formalin for a short time, and was also on effexor xr for 6 weeks, which was about 2-3 months before my symptoms started….anyway, sorry for any inconsistencies, i thank all of those who have taken the time to read this….best to you…..

It means that you have some white spots within your brain that could be due to some previous inflammation or to blood vessel issues.
Have you had a neurological examination with a neurologist? If no please get this done. If yes what was found?

all the best
