I've been experiencing a cold, menthol-like sensation around my eyes mostly. Sometimes the sensation travels to different parts of my body. Getting as far down as my calves. No pain with it. Just a cold menthol like sensation. No numbness either. I went to the doctor. First thing he did was a full blood analysis. Checked for Lyme and and Addisons due to my high stress (job related). Everything came back normal. I was given scripts for CT of the head and an ultra sound of my carotid artery. A couple weeks after I had the blood test, the sensations went away. They stayed away for more than a month. They just returned in the eye area (same place it started). I did not do the other tests since the sensation went away as mysteriously as it started. I will be scheduling them this week. Anything out there on this? I've been searching the web but can't really find this anywhere.
I have concerns about MS. No family history of the disease.
Some medical history:
4 previous back operations to repair herniated discs
80 pounds overweight (happened after last back operation in 2003)
Chronic pain condition (constant sciatica still exists).
Slight hypertension
GERD
I'm not disabled and manage to put in 50+ hours a week at the office (non-physical job)
