Huntingtons Disease?

New postby ccusack on Fri Aug 21, 2009 10:17 am

I am a 40 year old female. I started developing a habit of rocking, swaying subconsciously at about age 35. It has become much worse and very noticable to others. I am constantly moving, but if I concentrate I can stop it, but it takes a lot of concentration. My face has also started having minor twitches like grimaces and eye twiching. The movement has become almost constant. I am also having short term memory problems and a serious lack of coordixation. My speech has also gotten worse. I am very intelligent and educated and grammar and vocaulary have always been my stong point, but lately words are getting confused. I mean to say one word but another comes out when I say it. I hope that made sense. I have no family history of Huntington's Disease. The only family history of a neurological disorder in my family is alzheimers. Please advise.
