Help understanding MRI results...neuro not clear

New postby hatbox121 on Wed Dec 03, 2008 9:59 pm

I am a 27 yo female that has been dxed with Fibromyalgia(among many other things) and was experiencing numbness in my hands and feet. I had an MRI done of my brain and thoracic spine. I have the results but still don't understand what it means. I called my neuro but he just said that he doesn't think that it's significant and that's all he'd say. I just want to know what it means in English not doctorish.
IMPRESSION: Single forcus of abnormal increased signal intensity on FLAIR-weighted imaging left frontal subcortical white matter, nonspecific. No other signigican abnormality is seen. Correlation with clinical exam and followup as clinically indicated is recommended.
IMPRESSION: Minimally prominent signal from central canal in the upper and mid thoracic cord. Nor other significant abnormality seen and no impingement is present.
If you can decipher that, please do. Thanks in advance.
