I've had focal seizures since I was three years old. I've only had a few generalized seizures my entire life...
I've tried medications, been evaluated for surgery and said to be a poor candidate due to the location of my dysplasia, and even tried alternative therapy with little success.
I'm currently looking into deep brain stimulation (DBS) which is said to be successful for 40% of the patients who use it, but 40% isn't enough to make me jump aboard.
I'd like to see some other alternatives instead of DBS. I know it's probably my best shot of decreasing my seizure activity, but I'd like to know if there are more out there.
Much thanks,
Harrison
