Hello...
I am trying to find the best way to not waste my neurologist's time at my visit tomorrow. I have been having fainting episodes that may be seizures (shaking and urinary incontinence joined the loss of conciousness and muscle tone recently). I have had a clear EEG, MRI, CT scan, CBC/Chem, and Echo. I am mildly hypothryoid, but not necessarily regulated (the dose is being adjusted regularly). My neurologist put me on Keppra 500 mg BID to try and differentiate between ES and PNES.
When I have NOT taken the medication, I have had many, many more episodes in a day. When I have taken the medication appropriately, the episodes seem to decrease in frequency (although I don't have a record of how things were before I really got worried and got on the Keppra, etc.). They have definitely decreased in length and I don't feel as bad after the episdoes, but am SO tired on Keppra. What additional information do I need to prepare for my neurologist?
Thanks for your help.
Lisa
