extreme pain from shoulder radiating to hand

Postby mish on Sun Nov 02, 2008 7:10 am

I'm 53 and had a rotator cuff repair in June due to extreme pain in my R shoulder, bicept and tricept (and also a confirmed MRI). In October, after physical therapy, I was still experiencing the same pain I had before the surgery but the burning also went between shoulder blades and my hand was becoming numb along with a weakened arm. An MRI of my neck indicated a severe herniated disc between C6-7 with severe stenosis between C4-5 and C5-6 so I just had a three level neck fusion a four weeks ago. So I now have had two different types of surgeries, neither one of them resolving my original pain. I have been experiencing for a year now R arm weakness, extreme shoulder pain radiating from my shoulder blade down my bicept to forearm into my hand. Its constant everyday and I am so frustated. I've gone to a highly reputable orthopedist and neurosurgeon. Does this sound like anything that you have seen? I am having a bone density test next week to rule out osteoporosis.
