CP confused with MS?

I am a 42 year old female with mild CP (I walk with a limp and have generally weaker left side). In April I experienced excrutiating brief but recurring headaches that I went to the doctor for. She ordered the MRI and I just called for the results. She indicated that the MRI showed signs of MS. Except for the headaches I had, I do not think I have had any symptoms I read about for MS. As I said, the CP does cause some muscle problems, I occasionally lose my footing, etc, but nothing "new". Could my CP be what's showing up on MRI? I will be referred to neurologist but was told it would be about a month and this will drive me crazy until then, Any insight would be great.
