Compressions

New postby tc777777 on Tue Feb 01, 2011 7:06 am

Good afternoon,
I have concerns over symptons that I have experienced recently that first happened about 6 months ago. The sides of my head (around the temple area) began to compress and feel tight. To touch, there was a very noticeable extent of the compression and the area was probably about 2/3 finger tips width. I was not doing anything at the time (nothing strenuous etc) and was seated and using a computer. I visited my GP who advised that this was nothing more than a reaction to stress and was nothing to be concerned about. The same thing happened a couple of months later and again I was seated at the time. I again thought nothing of it given what my GP had said.

About two weeks ago the same sympton happened for a third time but on this occasion the area affected was my forehead. The area of my skull that sits behind the eyebrow became very pronounced.

All instances lasted between 30-60 seconds and caused no pain at all.

I suffer from constant neck pain for which I have had blood tests and x-rays but showed no apparent problems and so I assume that this pain is due to relaxation/stress issues.

Should I be concerned? Do I need a more specialist procedure (scan?).

I have been to my doctors probably 3/4 times in 20 years or so am not a person who is easily worried by symptons or would waste a doctors valuble time unneccessarily but the above does concern me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards
