coma of unknowen couse for more than 15 days

it is a 32 y male patient admited to hospital sience 16 day by coma and signs of septic shock
he recieved medications and transfered to ICU and was on ventilator for 12 day
GCS varies from 3 to 8 up and down.
there was susspesion for meningitis but no evidance.
cultures form CSF and blood were free ather than a 10 day high dose of acyclovir adminstration.
cardiac and respiratory and kidney functions are normal.
he has convulsions and recieve anti epileptic drugs.
now he is on spontenious ventilation in the ICU but still in coma.
MRI and CT brain are free exept for mild non segnificant brain oedema and left basal temporal sclerosis which is not found in MRI follow up.
epanutin level is theraputic.
EEG reveals left focal activ epileptic focus and right hypo activity.

now Doctors have no final diagnosis for this long standing coma
and need help and ready for any further questions

What drugs is he receiving now?
Is the EEG indicative of "status epilepticus"....if so then I would expect he would need more than just phenytoin.

thank you for your interrest

now he is recieving
- Epilog 250 mg = 20 cc I.V. very slowly
- trileptal 300 mg 1*2
- gapten 250 mg syp 900 ml/8hr
- Diprivam infusion but is discontioued
- Depacuram for sedation

anti biotics
-Tazocin
-vancomycin
-amikin
-flagyl

solupred 20 mg course

and other eye care drops as Thilotears Oflox Terramycin


regarding the EEG , the report wae just i said - no SE
