mg but negative test results

I was diagnosed in 2007 with myasthenia gravis. I was diagnosed because I had all the symptoms and was given mestinon and started responding very quickly. I have had flare ups in the past and medication adjustments has always helped . In January I had a crisis where I had to be put on a ventilator. They gave me IVIG and I improved. I was recently hospitalized a gain for my breathiong and again was given IVIG. My regular neurologist decided my case was to severe and decided to pass it on to another doctor. This doctor says I don't have mg because I tested negative on the antibodies and an emg. He took me off the mestinon and imuran and in 2 weeks wants to start decreasing my prednisone. I am already starting to have symptoms again. Does anybody have any answers out there?
