Autonomic Neuropathy

New postby FeatherMe on Sun Mar 20, 2011 7:42 pm

I was standing for about five to ten minutes, rocking back and forth on my crutches when I blacked out, no memory of falling just pain in my head and it bouncing off the floor and landing again. I received a concussion and severe head and neck pain. This was definitely different than the normal fainting I experience. There was no warning except for a funny sensation heart wise. The only advice I was given was to wear compression hose but due to a severe foot problem I am not able. I tried using aces bandages and my bad foot ended up looking like a football at the end of the day. My toes were white.

I travel around alone and I am a tad uncomfortable now. Is this only going to happen when I am standing still? Can I feel safe when I am sitting? Is this just something that nothing can be done about? My PCP, cardiologist, and a neurologist all have done nothing. I have been told to ignore the palpitations. It's a great way to leave this earth - no suffering!
We rejoice in our sufferings. Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us. God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Adapted Romans 5:3-4
