Asymmetrical ventricles...should i be worried?

New postby Danny33 on Fri Mar 26, 2010 3:38 am

Let me start by saying hello to everyone in the forum. I hope you can help to put my troubled mind to rest.

So here it goes: i've done a brain tomography last week and the only odd thing it showed were the lateral brain ventricles. Turns out they're asymmetrical, as in the left is larger than right (i'm talking larger like almost TWICE the size!). My neurologist said it was no big deal, though (some kind of "normal variant", he said). Thing is, i wasn't too convinced and would like a second opinion.

I'm gonna post a couple of my CT pics so that you can judge for yourself if my situation is normal (and, if it's not, what complications may i expect in the future?). So far, it's not causing me great concern...i can do pretty much everything the next person can, and ppl have told me all my life i looked/acted pretty normal (God knows how i wanna believe them, lol).

Here are the images:

Please tell me what you make of it. Thank you for your cooperation. Yours truly,
