anxiety or msHi, I am a 30 year old female with anxiety for about 10 years..I have symtoms like tingling in extremities, not numbness just like goosebumps, a rocking sensation and palpitations..I have had 2 normal brain scans with contrast that were 2 years apart. What are the chances of having multiple normal brain scans and ms?
Re: anxiety or msWell ,firstly I would say that your symptoms would not make me suspect MS and would make me suspect that you were having symptoms relating to anxiety (even without you saying that you suffer from anxiety). Have you had a neurological examination? If so was that normal? According to the definition of MS and assuming there was nothing abnormal on examination then you do not have MS according to any of the accepted criteria. Let me know what was found on your neuro exam and I can give you a more precise answer. all the best Show your appreciation and support our forum by giving a donation.

Re: anxiety or msmy internist did give me a full neurological exam along with the 2 brain MRIs with contrast 2 years apart...She said my neuro exam was completely normal and did not send me to a neurologist...I always worry because of the tingling in legs and arms..they are not numb or weak just a goosebump feeling,,,but I know anxiety can cause this and I think it just gets the best of me...Would the 2 brain MRI's rule out ms 2 years apart?
Re: anxiety or msI have had a full neurological exam by my primary doctor..She said everything was completely normal..I just get worried when I get the tingling in arms and legs..not numbness or weakness just a goosebump feeling but I know this is probably my anxiety that causes it.. Since I had 2 brain MRI's 2 years apart and they were normal does that rule out ms, etc?
Re: anxiety or ms
Yes...MS is not a consideration given the normal exam and normal MRI (i.e. you can consider MS to have been ruled-out). All the best Show your appreciation and support our forum by giving a donation.
