Tremors and tingling

Postby telkhin1 on Tue May 20, 2008 5:06 am

Hi,

I thought i would post my information on here to see if i should go to the neurologist. Lately i've had issues with tremors and shaking, i also have times where i feel bugs constantly on me but there is nothing there. I also get tingliness in my arms all the time, when i take deep breaths i get numbness in my head which then feels like it travels down my body which then causes my head to cringe like a reflex, and my arms to shake drastically. I also deal with the arms shaking like there is pressure or burning inside them that i have to constantly flex my hands in order to keep muscle spasms from popping up this issue also affects my legs and feet, this is usually accompanies with sever sensitivity to touch where even wind blowing hurts, which wind blowing normally does not feel like it use to before 3 years ago. I also had issues with balance basically all the time i walk around while looking at the ground. I've even had instances where i'm walking and it feels as if the world runs into me as i fall into the ground because my orientation is off. This has only gotten worse, i've had most of these problems for the past 3 years and just want to find out whats causing it or if something is wrong and if its gonna get worse. At that time (3 years ago) i had issues with drugs and did alot of exctasy this may or not be the problem. But alot of these problems i experienced full force one night on an overdose, then about 3 days later i would get nose bleeds, where my blood was literally pink. If you have suggestions especially if you think i should most certainly see a neurologist given i've put this off for so long. My main concern now is deciding whether or not i should see a neurologist and have an exam done? or if i'm just imagining this some have even said its from anxiety but i doubt i usually odnt have anxiety.

Thanks!
in advance

Hi, hope you are doing well. I just thought it would be good for me to share some personal information with youu and I hope you find it helpful. I've been getting this for years now and doctors have diasnosed me with everything from low iron to insulin resistance syndrome. I've learned that after being diagnosed so many times and getting un-helpful prescriptions it was time to see a nuerologist since I had no other doctor that knew what was wrong with me. I set an appointment and I told him everything. You should write down every single time you get these tremors and tingling, what time it was, and what you were doing when it occured. My nuerologist did a simple test (had me walk on my toes, tap my finger, move my eyes back and fourth and so on.) Everything was normal so he sent me for a 30 min MRI. That was negative. He didn't seem at all concerned but I let him know that there was something wrong and I really wanted to find out. Then he sent me for an EEG and he was shocked. He told me he has never had a patient with an EEG like mine, and although I was diagnosed with having epileptic seizures he didn't diagnose me with any specific kind. He told me it was extremely rare. I was prescribed 1000mg a day of Keppra and ever since I've been tremor and tingling free. If you think something is wrong, bring the paper with all the information about your tremors and tingling and tell him you're very concerned. He will ask you a bunch of questions make sure you really think about it so you dont miss any vital important information. He may schedule you for an MRI and EEG and make a followup appointment. May I also suggest that you go to http://www.keppra.com and check out the different kinds of seizres to see if you have any of the other synptoms that go along with it. Take care of yourself and see a nuerologist asap.

I took ecstacy, and that was about it. I had a run in once or twice with 2cb and liquid E. On that actual occasion, it was like 5 hits of ecstacy, and 3 hits of liquid ecstacy all within a 4 hour period. No i currently am not on drugs and have quit since that incident.

WHatever the situation was in the past, if you still have tremor and shaking then you should certainly see a neurologist.
