I feel as if my brain is in a fog and find it hard to concentrate

strange sounds

New postby mesoman31 on Tue Dec 21, 2010 9:34 am

Hello all.i don't know really how to put this, but for the past 9 months i have been experiencing strange popping sounds.i cant say for sure, but it sounds like it comes from the base of my skull.the only thing i can compare it to would be like the candy pop rocks,or like a fessing sound like soda.it will happen sometimes with stomach growling, and when i swallow and with certain arm movements.if i take my left arm and move it up and down it will sometimes happen.if i hold it above my head like i am scratching my back it will sometimes do it.this all started after i hurt my shoulder weight lifting.my shoulder is fine now but i still have the noise.for a while after that i would also have some neck pain if i pushed myself up with my left hand.that has been gone for a while now.i do not get headaches from this, and it doesn't hurt.i have been to the doctor.i had an x-ray.didn't really show much.he said i had a little straightening of the spine.what i am wondering is if it could be a csf leak or something else.other than the noise i am perfectly healthy.i jog around 5 miles a week.live a normal life.i have read where a csf leak can cause congintive decline.i currently do not have any memory problems.i hope it is not,for the reason i am studying do be a meteorologist, and my memory is very important in that field.i hope i can get some help on here. thank you very much in advance. NICK.
