headaches dont trust my Neuro

Postby johnny001 on Fri Apr 25, 2008 1:40 pm

Hi guys. I am 28 year old male with no medical problems and according to family doctor and Neuro i am in good shape. I have been hawing headaches for over 5 years they come and go but they are always something there. My pain is described as sharp 3 second burst of pain that is in a shape of a line going across my head behind my ear or i can have line of soft pain that is pulsing thought the day. It can be any where on my head mostly top and around my eyes. I did my blood work and doctor told me that my blood work is fine. I just seen my Neurologist on Apr 24th after 2 months of worrying and waiting. But i was surprised how fast i was out of the office. He preformed some testes and asked me some questions, what he told me is that its muscle tension around my ears that is cosing the problem. I usually have like 10 pains a day that wary in severity but its nothing that i cant handle or when i am working which is labor job lifting heavy granite stone i would get full headache after like 8 hours of work with pressure My other work is graphic designer. Or if i am not sleeping well or if i turn day in to night. When i have full headache i don't get sharp pains at all, what i was thinking that neuro would perform some type of scan to see if there is anything there like tumor that might be source of the problem. I have also seen a eye doctor and everything is fine i don't have any vision problem. I am just wondering how come test was so fast. I mean he did not even offer to help me with pain he just told me to stop worrying and to do yoga. Simplest way to explain my problem have you ever seen the surface of the sun on tv there is always something going on, that how my head fells like there is something always going on and i do focus on my head all the time. What do you guys think should i see another 1

Thank you for the advice

Hi,
I just would like to let you know, I am not a doctor of anykind, so I cannot tell you what is it etc. I am like you, also a graphic designer.
I think if you really want to, you should get different opinions, and see different neurologists, or doctors. If you really want to do MRI or scans etc, and they don't seems to care, you should insist!! First neurologists that I saw for my problem didn't seem to care much... and didn't seems to think a MRI was necessary, and yes, not that the MRI is done and I have the results, there is something, that he didn't expect to see. I don't want to scare you or anything either!
Saw my thirst neurologist yesterday, and surprisingly they kind all saying different things, even if it shows the same thing on the MRI result.
Hope all the best for you :)
