I have an issue and if there is anyone out there who can help me or give me any information will be very helpful. Right now my scalp is hurting as I type these words down.
I'ts been almoast 2 years that I have been getting these pains on my scalp. In a way I'm kinda used to it but it's anoying and it really hurts

At first I started getting a weird sharp pain on the back of my head, I felt the pain behind my ears going all the way to the back of my head. Every time I felt that pain. This pain was intefering with my personal life, I decided to go see my primary doctor. She told me that it was nothing that it was my muscles. She told me to do these head excercises when ever I felt the pain. That's what I did until I didn't feel them anymore. That's when I started getting headaches every day then usual. (I do suffer from migraines) The pain was so bad that sometimes I couldn't go to work, I then realized that everytime I tied my hair up, the top of my head would hurt & I would get a headache. So then I left my hair out alot & I noticed that I I didn't get the headaches as much. But I did notice that the pain I had on the top of my head was still there. It felt like I had just got hit in the head and I really didn't. At that time I since I was over 19 I didn't have insurance anymore and I had tried to get insurance but I was denied. After that I moved out of the country to puerto rico to live with my mom and that's when I started experiencing very severe migraines. The pain on my scalp was present and when I took over the counter pain killers the headache would sometimes go away but the scalp pain didn't. I was getting so many headaches that certain pills don't work for me anymore like Tylenol, Aleve, Aleve Migraine, Bayer, Advil, Excedrin & Excedrin Migraine. The scalp pain started to hurt in the middle of my head. I couldn't even brush my hair anymore because everytime I moved my hair srtands my scalp would hurt. It was difficult to sleep, I tried to get very soft pillows so my head wouldn't hurt but nothing worked. I had just gotten insurance and I spoke to my primary doctor. She told me that my scalp feels like I got multiple fractures. I don't understand how if I don't remember hurting my head. I did tell her that I hit my head a year ago with my bunk bed, immediately after that happend I got a bad headache. She told me that there was nothing I could do because my plan does not cover MRI scan because it was too expensive. After that my scalp pain was getting worse along with the headaches, I went to the emergency room and gave me a shot & then took me an X-ray but found nothing. They had an MRI but coudn't use it on me because I wasn't looking like I was dying. The doctor told me she didn't understand why I was having this chronic pain. She wrote me an authorization letter to my primary doctor requesting that I get a head scan to futher investigate just incase if there might be something wrong in the brain. She told me that these could be signs of a head tumour. After that she prescribed me a pain killer call Ultraset. When I took the medication I felt dizzy and I had to lay in bed but my headache and scalp pain went away. I felt happy but dizzy because of the pain killer which was very strong. I didn't really like taking them due to the fact that I have to stay dizzy in bed the whole day and then retake the pill the next day. I decided to take it when I had pain. When I din't take the pill the scalp pain was back again. I was taking those pills so much that 1 pill didn't do anything, one time I took 3 ultracets because the headache was so strong I couldn't move and finally it was making it go away. It seam like the pill wasn't working for me anymore. I did go to my primary doctor and showed her the letter the other doctor had given me. She said that I couldn't get the MRI because my plan doesn't cover it, plus I had to be put in a waiting list because the health care system in puerto rico ran very slowly. That meant that I had to wait atleast 4 months so that I can get a head scan. After that It didn't hurt as much but the scalp pain was always present, I had already ran out of the Ultracet. We moved back to the US so that I can get better health care. At that time I din't have insurance and when I applied I was denied. I started college but I cannot get insurance from my school because I am a part time student. Now I noticed that the scalp pain has spread almoast all over my head. Yesterday I couldn't sleep because of the pain so I took a Tylenol PM but I still woke up during the middle of the night, I felt like I didn't get a good sleep, I woke up real tired. I went to the emergency room today but like always they can't help me. They did tell me they have an MRI but it can only be used for very serious matter. All they gave me was Ultracet again for the pain. It gets me angry because what if I have something serious, do I have to wait till It becomes real worse so that they can finally give me the head scan and realized that maybe it's too late. I don't want to take the pain killer everyday because I need to know if the apin is getting worse & if there are any new chances, I need to be aware. Well now I'm going to reapply for health insurance again, I'm 22 and a student and it's not fair that I don't have health insurance. Hopefully where I just moved to I can quickly get a primary doctor and see if I can finally get that referral to a neurologist to see what is causing my scalp pain.
