Wierd Sensation after induced hyperventilation for EEG
First unread post • 4 posts • Page 1 of 1
Wierd Sensation after induced hyperventilation for EEGToday I had an EEG to diagnose TLE. During the test I was asked to breathe rapidly and deeply for three minutes. After 1 1/2 minutes I notice a strange almost audible sensation throughout the middle of my back. It felt and like I was lying on a running motor. The sensation gradually went away within five minutes. Any ideas? This was quite a wild feeling, have any of you heard about this? Thank you for your insights.
Re: Wierd Sensation after induced hyperventilation for EEGThanks for your question,
Your symptoms fit-in with those caused by hyperventilation. There was a very good thread detailing the reason why hyperventilation causes all these strange symptoms which I hope you find useful. http://forum.asktheneurologist.com/some ... -t114.html Show your appreciation and support our forum by giving a donation.

Re: Wierd Sensation after induced hyperventilation for EEGI understand that the purpose of my breathing heavy was to induce hypervenilation but I have yet to read anything that mentions the "audible motor in my back" can you give me any links that will descride this feeling as being hyperventilation. Thank you.
Re: Wierd Sensation after induced hyperventilation for EEGHas it ever happened when not hyperventilating?
Please describe exactly what you heard...in which ear? "...let the patient talk about their headache for at least 5 minutes without interruptions"
