Perirolandic Cortex

I had epilepsy as a child and think it may have returned!
Could I be having seizures/
Could my seizures be drug side-effects?

Perirolandic Cortex

Postby pepc40 on Thu Jun 05, 2008 3:45 pm

My new four month old grandchild is having seizures and the MRI papers states that there is hyperintensity
in the perirolandic cortex. I have looked every where I can not find this perirolandic cortex anywhere.
Can someone help explain where and what this controls?

Sincerily,

Thanks for your question.

I have created a full-page on rolandic epilepsy which explains what the perirolandic cortex is and what it controls.
You can see the page at http://www.asktheneurologist.com/rolandic-epilepsy.html .

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,
