Epilepsy on-set as an adult

Epilepsy on-set as an adultI am a 47 year old male. When I was 42, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. My question is this. When I was a child, I had terrible ear infections. I had constant ear infections. I had mastoid surgery when I was a teenager. I was wondering if this could have caused me to get epilepsy as an adult? I also had head trauma when I was 25. When I was 25, I fell out of the back of a moving pick-up truck. I hit my head and was in a coma for a short while. I was life flighted to the hospital. Now I don't know which problem would have caused me to get epilepsy as an adult. I also had to get a heart pace-maker because my arythmia has been thrown off and causing my heart to stop. This has ruined my life! I'm very depressed over this. Please help me with some answers. Thanks so much for your help.
Re: Epilepsy on-set as an adultWell there are a number of possibilities.
The most important thing is to know what is present on brain imaging...I assume you have had a CT or MRI or both? If not this should certainly be done (preferably an MRI). Looking forward to hearing from you. PS what meds are you on now?
