Cryptogenic Infantile Spasms
First unread post • 3 posts • Page 1 of 1
Cryptogenic Infantile SpasmsMy 14 month old daughter has cryptogenic infantile spasms. I was reviewing some of her bloodwork and noticed her glutamine levels were over 1000 and the normal range high end is around 300. Any ideas of disease/disorders characteristic with high glutamine levels that could cause her infantile spasms as well?
Re: Cryptogenic Infantile SpasmsIs your daughter taking any medications which contain valproic acid (depalept / depakene / valporal / valproate etc).
Has her ammonia (NH3) level been checked? If so how high was it? Show your appreciation and support our forum by giving a donation.

Re: Cryptogenic Infantile SpasmsNo, she hasn't ever been on Valproic Acid. Ammonia levels havn't been checked as far as I know but I will go back over her lab work to see if I see that listed.
