Head on fire

New postby FeatherMe on Fri Dec 19, 2008 12:40 pm

I was awakened this morning with my head on fire. It was a painful burning that lasted about five minutes. I've had such burning in my feet and hands. Are these related? Does small fiber neuropathy go to the head? I took my blood pressure and it was its normal low self as was my heart rate.

Does small fiber neuropathy go to the head?

It is possible although it is unlikley to show itself with the symptoms you describe.
It may be related to the other feelings you get in your body which as far as I remember, you have not got a firm diagnosis for (i.e. the diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy is not clear).

all the best and feel well over the holiday season

I just had another episode yesterday. This one lasted for a half an hour. It started in my right ear lobe and then to the rest of my head and for a brief moment down to my chest and upper arms and then it just stayed in my head. By the way, the small fiber neuropathy was confirmed.
