Probable pineal cyst

Probable pineal cystHello. My daughter had an MRI last week and we were told that they found a 1.1cm cystic mass in the pineal region of her brain that probably represents a pineal cyst. However, there is a 3mm enhancing peripheral nodule in the wall of the lesion. Our family doctor has been of no help with this and we don't see the neurologist for another week. She has severe headaches every day, and last night she fall down 3 steps and said her head hurt when it happened (she did not hit her head; she said it hurt "inside" like it was jarred around). I would like to know what our best course of action is between now and the neuro appointment. I don't know how serious all of this is!! Thanks!
Re: Probable pineal cystHas she had her eyes looked at?
Please forward the precise wording of the scan and if possible attach some pictures. Was anything like hydrocephalus / raised intracranial pressure or hydrocephalus mentioned? Does she have vomiting? How old is she? Show your appreciation and support our forum by giving a donation.

NON-EXPERT RESPONSE ============= My daugher has the same issues. she has fallen several times, crying stating she can't tell where the stairs begin or end. No neurologist has been willing to help us. They believe that she has migraines and that her pineal cyst is to small to cause perceptions issues, sleep disturbances, etc. We just wait and wait for new symptoms to occur.
Re: Probable pineal cystMy mother was admitted to the hospital yesterday after suffering a seizure. she was not responsive and kept having seizures until she got to the hospital at which point she was sedated and stabilized. a CAT Scan and a MRI have revealed a brain mass in the front left lobe.
1. Is a brain mass a tumor? 2. what are some intelligent questions that i should ask the neurologist and the attending. Also, she is a recovering alcoholic and has been clean for 15 years. Back in October 2008 she was sick and pretty much passed out. after missing a day at work her friend went to check on her. she had no recollection of the prior day and her tongue was bleeding. Now we know that was a seizure that went untreated. What does this seem like it may be to you based on experience? thank you in advanced for your response
