Pineal Cyst

New postby Javoletta on Sun Jan 18, 2009 8:12 pm

Hello

Over the past months I have been suffering from severe, frequent migraines and fatigue. My doctor referred me to a nuerologist who sent me for a CT scan. My results came back as "small, approx. 1 cm pineal gland system with calcification along its right lateral wall margin." It also says 1 cm pineal cyst at the bottom of the paper they gave me. They have now referred me to a nuero surgeon but I do not see them until the 28th. What can you tell me about this. It is like a different language to me. Is this what could be causing my migraines and fatigue. I also have found a large amount of black mold in the basement of the home I am renting so I am not sure if this is playing a factor in my health issues. Can you tell me if this cyst can grow and how fast and what are the risks. I just want to know what I am up against. Thanks

Have you been sent for an MRI?
It sounds likely that the pineal issue is not related to your symptoms although it will need to be checked-out now in any case.
