Bone Marrow Mass Base of Skull

New postby Dolphinlady0327 on Wed Jan 21, 2009 3:59 am

Can anyone please help in explaining what the heck is a mass of bone marrow at the base of my skull. My one doctor who I am not so sure I trust is telling me that it is nothing but he keeps taking MRI scans every 3 months to keep an eye on it. He wants to make sure it is not growing. I am having terriable Migraines that no medication is helping along with scalp pain, Visual problems (blurry and vision shakes at times). Is this something that I should get a second and third opinion on? Here I am up again with a terriable headach and I have to manage to go to work in a few hours. I am so tired of running to the emergency room for shots that dont always help for the pain. My head hurts so bad I cannot lay down. When I am not in pain I feel a pressure at the top of my head and in the back of it. It feels like something is pressing on my skull trying to explode out of it. Any suggestions? My dad died from a brain tumor, His dad died of a brian tumor and my mom had a brain tumor that was not cancer but she had major surgery which they could not remove all of it. She is still living today, Thank God.
